While the Chevy Volt is picking up steam as an all-electric, zero-emissions eco friendly car, Chevy has released the designs for a new concept car called Era, which takes the concept of a green vehicle one step further with negative emissions.
By ‘Negative Emissions’, what I mean is that the Chevy Era is designed to purify the air while it drives, actually making its emissions cleaner than the air it took in with an oxygen renewal system that filters pollutants. The hydrogen-powered car is also designed with solar panels on its roof to generate electricity to help offset any power required for the process to take place.
And while the vehicle’s design was sponsored by Chevy, it was actually designed by Yana Briggs as part of a program organized by the Art Center College of Design.
