There’s no question that electric cars are the wave of the future, and to show the progress the United States are making towards adopting eco friendly vehicles Ford has released a map featuring the 25 cities that are most ready for electric cars.
Ford’s Electric Ford Focus
Although Ford’s newest eco friendly car isn’t even released yet, the automaker doesn’t want to miss out on all of the hype that’s currently surrounding electric cars. The 2012 all electric Ford Focus is coming out later this year, and will feature state of the art technology to go along with it, but if a driver’s city doesn’t have readily available electric car charging stations it doesn’t make much difference.
That is why Ford has released the above pictured map, with the 25 American cities which are most prepared for the surge of electric vehicles that is sure to come.
The 25 cities most prepared for electric cars
In no particular order, the 25 cities most prepared for electric cars are…
- Greater San Francisco Bay Area
- Los Angeles
- San Diego
- Washington, D.C.
- New York
Is your city on the list, and if so, have you noticed any charging stations being set up for electric car drivers?

San Diego has a bunch of Blink Chargers installed. Still not that many, nor are they in places they are needed like shopping centers or resturants..
