No matter what we do, disposing of used motor oil is a painful process. Lots of oil producers have been looking for ways to make their products more environmentally friendly, or biodegradable, but no one had been awarded the American Petroleum Institute’s “Donut” – until now. Green Earth Technologies‘ environment safe G-Oil has just become the first motor oil to be considered green, and better than other conventional options. Unlike regular motor oils, which are made from crude oil in a 3:1 process, G-Oil is made from saturated animal fats in a 1:1 process. Quarts of the green oil will be shipping out in the next few months in 5W-30, with other grade options to follow this summer.
