The Fairfax PD has opted to purchase 2 battery powered scooters that will be emissions-free, and silent. The obvious first response is, “they won’t be able to catch a car.” But, they already realize this, and instead have purchased the scooters in order to catch up with cyclists who’ve run stop signs (I didn’t realize that was a big problem in law enforcement these days).
