The Big Ask Airplane EmissionsWhat is the question that Friends of the Earth and The Big Ask wants you to answer? It is to join the movement in order to get UK officials to step up and place stricter regulations on climate change – specifically, aviation emission laws. Despite regulating many emissions laws in the UK, there have been no regulations put in place for airplane missions. It’s widely accepted that airplane emissions are immense, and pose a serious threat as one of the biggest fossil fuel burners that we use. So why is it that officials aren’t pushing for cleaner flying airplanes? It’s in part due to the cost of remodeling a cleaner burning airplane, but it is still something that shouldn’t be ignored.
