This weekend at the American Le Mans’ Series Signature Race, the Porsche’s Penske RS Spyder and GM’s Corvette Racing Team won the “Green Challenge” race. Both winners had the best scores in their classes for overall performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions. The race was held on a 2.54 mile road course, but went on for 1,000 miles. Partners in the Green Challenge race were the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Energy, and SAE International. It’s hard to believe a car that looks that cool is also environmental to boot.
