Goodyear unveiled a tire prototype last week capable of powering an electric car. Released at the Geneva International Auto Show, the tire works by converting heat it accumulates while driving into electrical energy.

The tire, the BH03, is also capable of absorbing light as well, converting the heat from the sun beating down in a hot summer parking lot into usable battery charge.

While just a concept for now, the BH03 is an exciting glimpse into the future of renewable energy.
