GreenCharge electric car app launches for iOS

A new app that gives electric car drivers greater detail about their vehicle’s performance has launched today in the iOS App Store, and is ready to be downloaded to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch to use.

This version of GreenCharge syncs wirelessly with the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt and shows you information about your car’s battery, charge status, and detailed performance information. For those electric car drivers that like to brag about how eco friendly they are, GreenCharge also allows you to share your car’s range information equivalent CO2 savings via Facebook, Twitter, and email.

It’s not yet certain how many other EVs this app will be compatible with in the future – especially given Ford’s investment into its own electric car mobile app – but for now it’s compatible with the most prominent electric cars on the road.
