A couple of days ago the Canadian government unveiled details of a $1 billion clean energy fund, and $650 million has already been set aside for carbon capture and storage projects. An additional $150 million has been set aside for researching clean energy technologies.Canada Carbon Capture


A couple days ago the Canadian government unveiled details of a $1 billion clean energy fund, and $650 million has already been set aside for carbon capture and storage projects. An additional $150 million has been set aside for researching clean energy technologies.


It’s all part of the federal stimulus plan which was launched earlier this year, and the clean energy fund has received quite a lot of support since President Obama’s visit in February. The new carbon capture and storage projects will create a large number of new jobs for Canadians, and will also help keep the great northern air clean.
