USA Today has launched a site dedicated to ‘The Smokestack Effect’ that allows you to search your child’s school, or any school across the nation to see how poor the air quality is.A special report by USA Today reveals some frightening information about pollution around America’s schools. To accurately pinpoint which schools are affected, and to what degree, the newspaper gathered information from 127,800 schools, and used a model created by the Environmental Protection Agency to track industrial pollution.
