Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift Contribute to Unicef’s Tap Project

Have you ever wondered what your favorite celebrity’s tap water tastes like? Probably not, but celebrities like Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Taylor Swift have joined forces with Unicef’s Tap Project to give everyone the chance to have a taste, and in doing so raise awareness about the importance of clean drinking water, and raise money to combat the world water crisis.


The Unicef Tap Project

In 2007, Unicef started the Tap Project in New York City, and asked restaurant clientele to donate $1 for tap water which they would normally drink for free. All of the proceeds went to provide children around the world with clean drinking water, and since then the program has been adopted by restaurants across the United States. This year, to raise awareness even further, they have started the Celebrity Tap Project, and used celebrities Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Adrian Grenier to promote the water.

The “Celebrity Tap” bottles won’t be available on regular grocery shelves – after all, that would be a lot of water to drain from the celebs’ taps – but the “most famous” tap water in the world is a great prize to encourage donations from regular people. To enter, you only have to donate $5, and you have the chance to win these collectors’ items in a fancy case (also known as the Ultimate Deluxe Celebrity Tap Pack [Limited Edition]).
