By now, most people know that a sustainable farm is a more humane options for animals than a traditional factory farm.
Whether you’re buying eggs from free range chickens, or organic and hormone-free beef, purchasing a food option from a sustainable farm is like casting a vote for the humane treatment of animals.
And if that weren’t enough, there are enormous environmental benefits of sustainable farming as well.
Check out the infographic below to better understand the environmental gap between factory and sustainable farming practices.
I think that about says it all!
local food is always better from real farms
it makes me want to throw up thinking about these poor animals treated like that it breaks my heart
this thing is biased
philip is right
Really biased
I think that this is really biased because it never gives any possitive facts about factory, and it is trying to make the others sound so amazing. This is one of the most biased posts that i have ever read to be honest.
May be biased, but I don’t think the point of the comparison is to choose one or the other anymore. The logic of the issues with general factory farming can’t be ignored, this post strives to outline how key issues can be addressed in a sustainable method by applying the necessary changes toward sustainability and animal rights and fair treatment. With great design orientated minds, we can convert these systems in companionship to the benefit of all parties!
