Putting Nature to Work: Teaching Crows to Pick Up Trash

As we’ve pointed out before, crows are incredibly smart animals. Now, someone decided to put the crow’s intelligence to work for the rest of society and train one of the birds how to clean up litter on the streets and throw it in the trash can.

It would obviously be a better option to not have litter on the streets in the first place, but as complete cleanliness appears to be a hard goal to achieve, training animals to chip in doesn’t seem to be a bad alternative.

Not to mention, maybe when they are picking up garbage people will be less likely to hold hunting contests to kill them.
