$5,000 Community Green Grant for Green Ideas

Green Festivals are being held in cities across the U.S. this year, and before each begins, Ford and a panelist of Green Festival members will decide on the best sustainable ideas submitted in the area, with Festival goers able to vote for the winner. The Sunday of each Green Festival, the winner will be announced on-site, and $5,000 will be awarded to the winner, to go towards making the community driven sustainable idea a reality.

The deadlines for entering the Community Green Grant, based on the local Festivals are:

  • Chicago – May 7 2011
  • Seattle – May 14 2011
  • New York – September 24 2011
  • Los Angeles – October 22 2011
  • San Francisco – November 5 2011

If you’re a community organizer, a non-profit organization, or just a person with a great green idea that could benefit your community, be sure to get your idea submitted to be considered for the Community Green Grant.
