At this year’s Power Shift 2011 conference, over 10,000 young environmental activists will be treated to an opening keynote by former Vice-President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, who will be speaking on the current climate change crisis and what we can do to increase clean energy projects around the world and help save our planet.


Power Shift 2011 Environmental Conference

The conference is taking place April 15 – 18th in Washington, D.C. and looks to attract young environmental leaders who can lead efforts towards clean energy solutions around the world, and overall make positive changes for the planet.

Of the Power Shift 2011 Conference, Al Gore had this to say:

“I’m coming to Power Shift because I truly believe we must lead the world to a clean energy future, and young leaders are the driving force behind the movement that will make it happen.”

Al Gore, who is currently acting chairman for the Alliance for Climate Protection, will be joined by other environmental activists speaking over the 4 day event, such as EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, Van Jones, the founder of Green For All, and green author Bill McKibben.
