George Clooney Defends Brad Pitt and the Make It Right NOLA Foundation

If you hadn’t already heard, since Hurricane Katrina, Brad Pitt has started a foundation to help build homes in New Orleans. Their goal is to build 150 sustainable homes, and since its inception, George Clooney has donated $300,000 to help build 2 homes. Yesterday, he announced that he’s planning on throwing a bit more money at the Make It Right NOLA Foundation. Clooney said, “You can build a house for $150,000, which is amazing. So I bought two of them and plan on buying more as they’re doing an amazing thing there…There is a tendency to make fun of people who get involved in these sorts of things. [referring to yesterday’s comments by Roseanne about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie] Brad went there, builds houses, he can do a lot of other things with his time. He and Angie really put their money where their mouth is.
