Radiohead Goes Green for Conan O’Brien [UPDATE]

Although Radiohead had a scheduled appearance for Late Night with Conan O’Brien this week, today the band announced that they have opted out of flying to New York for a one-off performance, and instead will record a live version of their new single House of Cards from a studio in the UK to be played during the show instead. The estimated carbon emissions saved by this re-located live performance is equivalent to driving a car for an entire year. The band is already known for increasing awareness about the climate change issue, and by appearing during NBC’s Green Week, they are continuing a great trend.
