LG Electronics announced yesterday that it plans to launch a global initiative, dubbed the “Life’s Good When It’s Green” campaign, in order to promote electronics recycling, and reducing the overall environmental impact of their products. This includes cutting down on packaging, eliminating hazardous materials from the manufacturing process and eliminating the greenhouse gases produced from their factories. Other highlights covered by the Life’s Good When It’s Green campaign are creating an eco-supply chain, with vendors adhering to the same guidelines as LG, as well as an entirely new environmental label developed by the brand to indicate energy or environmental certification. Keep an eye out for all of LG’s new eco-designs this year.
