The newest line of shoes from Nike is coming with the tag “Nike Considered”, and is meant to introduce a wide selection of footwear that was created with a minimal environmental impact. Although there have been Nike Considered products for years, this is the first time that eco-friendly shoes will be available in basketball, running, soccer, women’s training, men’s training, and sportswear styles. The shoes are based on reducing the amount of waste produced, eliminating toxins from the process, and using environmentally sensitive materials to make the comfort on your foot as much as is in your head. Plus, Nike has announced it wants all of its footwear to meet its Considered standards by 2011, all of its apparel by 2015, and all of its sweatshops machinery by 2020. Looks like another set of goals to help build a sustainable business economy.
