Whole Foods is one of the West Coast’s choice supermarkets for organic items, and the company had a large presence at the expo. Reps took to the main stage on Saturday to teach the crowd about the benefits of the delicious and nutritious super-green, kale.

Variations of the 100 Mile diet are rampant and popular in BC, where permissible temperatures and glowing natural landscapes allow for crops of a variety of goods to grow year round. Not only is eating food that comes from close to you good for your health, but also for the planet, and for sustainability of the community.
