Brooks Biodegradable Running Shoe Midsole BioMoGo

When you’re taking a jog through the park, wouldn’t it be comforting to know your shoes are as environmentally friendly as possible? Brooks Running Shoes is trying to make their running shoes, and all of the components to make them, as green as possible. Their newest innovation, the biodegradable running shoe midsole, is created with anaerobic microbes that eat away at the sole once the shoes hit the landfill. Traditional midsoles take 1,000 years to break down, and the BioMoGo midsole breaks down in only 20. Over a 20 year span, that means saving almost 30 million pounds of landfill waste.
