With all of the crazy stuff happening in Dubai, it’s easy to lose track of the craziness that’s happening elsewhere in the UAE. Particularly, in Masdar City (aerial shot here). It’s being designed as the first carbon neutral city, with 50,000 residents, 1,500 business, and no cars allowed. Their $50 million solar plant is being built this year, and has just signed a contract with First Solar, located in the US, to help build 5 MW of it.
