The SEIA believes that if President Obama and Congress follow what they have to say, they will have 1 million jobs ready for Americans by 2011.Just as the tree huggers are saying that increasing forestry is the best way to stimulate economic growth, yesterday the Solar Energy Industries Association released their report, Solar Energy: A Blueprint for Job Creation and Economic Security. The SEIA believes that if President Obama and Congress follow what they have to say, they will have 1 million jobs ready for Americans by 2011. A few of their goals are improving solar tax credits, increasing the government’s use of solar power, creating tax incentives for manufacturing, and creating an office for Renewable Energy Development. The difference between this report and the tree huggers’ is that President elect Obama has already announced his support for alternative energy sources and creation of ‘green collar’ jobs. So maybe this report will be a push in the right direction.
