The way to do this, according to the Chancellor, is by helping homeowners better insulate their walls, so that their houses require less heating in the winter. He went on to say, “economic recovery must support our environmental objectives – not come at its expense,” which is a sentiment that is being shared by the forthcoming American government. Hopefully this money will help put a dent in rising winter heating bills in the UK.
