A new trend that may be popular among sun-bathed golf courses is a new model of golf cart with 72 built in photovoltaic cells. The addition of the solar cells allows for 33% more range than a standard cart because it charges while you’re on the go. A full charge can reportedly last for a full 10 rounds of golf, and only takes about 15 hours to charge. The cart is produced by golf specialists Hammacher-Schlemmer and right now is retailing for $9,000. Although it’s a bit steep to switch a whole fleet over right away, expect to see more solar power popping up at your golf course next season.
