The next Live Earth event, to be hosted December 7 in Mumbai, India, is going to have one goal in mind: raise money to provide solar powered lights to areas of the world that don’t have electricity. So far, the event has the support of Al Gore, who was present via satellite for the announcement a few days ago, and has Jon Bon Jovi, and a Bollywood star, Amitabh Bachchan, set to perform. The funds that will be raised are going to go to the Lighting A Billion Lives organization, who have already been working hard to provide solar lanterns to impoverished nations that have no access to electricity. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks to see what other stars are expected to take the stage at this year’ s Live Earth event.
