The solar powered airplane, pictured left and dubbed the Solar Impulse, is a new experiment that plans to determine whether it’s possible to fly an airplane around the world on a non-stop trip, without creating any pollution at all. Now, this would seem far more believable if they didn’t describe the challenge themselves as “an unachievable goal”, it means that they are planning to push the limits, and use all of the most up-to-date solar technologies in order to try and make this expedition a reality.
