CODA EV with iPad art

If you thought the iPad couldn’t become more helpful in the modern world, it’s now contributed to a mobile masterpiece that is being unveiled in California…

CODA Automotive is a developer of all-electric vehicles. This week, it announced its first art-wrapped 2012 CODA EV. It was designed by internationally-renowned digital artist, Matthew Watkins. He transformed the CODA into mobile art with a digital finger-painting he developed on his portable iPad.

The CODA iPad Art Car will be on display at the first-ever Los Angeles Mobile Arts Festival (LA-MAF) until August 25th. The exhibit is located in Santa Monica in an historic airport hangar.

The 2012 CODA is the first all-electric five-passenger, compact sedan. The company says it has full rear seating and trunk space that meets a drivers’ transportation needs without an ounce of gasoline.

It says features include:

  • Best-in-class driving range
  • Fast and recharable battery
  • Availability in California

The LA-MAF showcases nearly 200 mobile artists from around the world. The eight-day group exhibition features pieces of mobile photography and other forms of mobile digital art.
