Altaeros has created a new type of wind turbine that floats among the clouds to generate power for facilities on the ground. By using helium to raise the turbine into the sky where the wind is 5 – 8 times stronger, the turbines produce far more energy, and in a way that’s 65% more efficient.

Additionally, the time and cost associated with constructing the turbine is decreased to a number of days, rather than the weeks it takes to construct a traditional wind turbine.
