Buying solar panels at Costco

Costco has sold solar-related products in the past, such as back-up power kits and mini-chargers, but the new partnership with Grape Solar is going to make large scale Home Solar Power Kits available to everyone, both online and in store.

The DIY solar power kits come in four sizes of power generation, with their price corresponding: 880W for $3600, 2300W for $9000, 3680W for $13,500 and 5060W for $18,000.

What the Home Solar Power Kits include

Each of the Home Solar Power Kits is a grid-tied system and comes with everything you will need to get your panels generation energy to offset your home, including the panels, inverters, and rack system. Grape Solar’s Home Solar Power Kits are designed so that a homeowner can easily add on to their roof once they have one kit installed and decide they may want to build to their renewable energy systems.

Is DIY Solar Power a good idea?

According to the reviews, Grape’s solar energy kits are easy to install and don’t pose any problems to getting up and running with renewable energy. However, if you are a complete beginner and aren’t feeling confident about setting up solar panels on your roof, you should always contact a professional to, at least, advise you before the process, and to check your roof to ensure it’s capable of supporting the panels you’re looking to install.
