Even though Christmas is still over a month away, a recent study has shown that between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Americans produce an additional 2 billion pounds of garbage every week!

It’s very important to try and cut down on things like holiday cards, by switching to online holiday greetings, or you could cut down on wrapping paper by giving gifts in reusable bags.

And most important of all, set a timer on your outdoor lights to make sure you don’t end up wasting energy when no one is even awake to see them. Keep all of these environmental tips in mind for the coming holiday season, and make it a Green Christmas.
